A Nation wide Evangelistic Crusade In the Republic of Mauritius Island!

June 3rd 2001 is declared as "The day of fasting and prayer for the nation"! Would you like to joint your hearts with our Mauritian brothers and sisters in their prayer?

Soon after our return from Pakistan, our Hope and Deliverance team has started to concentrate on the new challenge of evangelism in the Republic of Mauritius

Our goal: To hold a nation wide crusade
And to teach the Christian leaders in June .

Our Indian coordinator Sam Maloney paid his first visit last year in October. He made the preliminary arrangements with the church leaders for the on coming crusade. He will come back in May 2001. In January 2001, Franck Alexandre visited the Island to meet the crusade committee and to organize their effort. To coordinate effectively the Island has been divided in to North, South, East and West. He met several pastors and encouraged them to focus more on prayer and personal evangelism. During his visit he could see the power of God already working among the people. The sick people were healed and the demons possessed were set free. Many made a fresh decision to follow Christ. It was a fore taste of the crusade.

The nation wide crusade is scheduled from 11th to 17th June. The crusade will be held in the Rose Hill stadium, that has got the capacity of holding 15 000 to 20 000 people. Apart from this mass crusade, the Hope and Deliverance team is conducting ministers' seminar for three days in the morning. It will be in a hall that can accommodate 1600 people. It will be a wonderful opportunity to kindle the fire in the hearts of the pastors, evangelists to motivate them for their nation. Two regional meetings have been organized during the week, one in the east and the other in the south..

Already we are receiving several e-mails from this tiny island and they inform us how much they are committed to pray for this crusade. On June 3rd there will be a national day of fasting and prayer on behalf of their nation. If you would like to join your hearts in prayer on behalf of Mauritius, please note down the date. One the particular evening of the crusade, 126 churches will go for a procession in the streets of Rose Hill (with t-shirt, and banners) before entering the stadium. This triumphant procession on the streets of Rose Hill is for the glory of our Jesus !

We want this crusade to be a time of celebration too. For this reason H&D has invited the " Rhéma " musical band from Belgium. This band has been specially gifted in the music ministry and will be able to prepare the hearts before the evangelist's message. At the end of the meeting when the different calls are being given to people they will accompany the evangelist with their songs.

This unforgettable and the remarkable crusade will be taken live in the video by two cameramen from the "FB video enterprise". As we return we will introduce these two videos to you :.
· One of the video will contain the powerful testimony of Evg.Frank Alexandre's deliverance from occultism. He will share this in one of the evening crusades.
· The other video will bring the reports and the memorable events of the crusade titled "The gospel to the heart of the Indian Ocean".

FLASH INFOS OF MAURITIUS ISLAND

The Mauritius Island has been a favorable place of many tourists in the world. It is located in the Indian Ocean. This island was formed as a result of the volcanic eruption several years before. It is surrounded by coral reefs. It has got a sub tropical climate. But the thing that impresses us is not the beautiful beaches or the coconut trees, but the thousands of souls for whom Jesus shed His precious blood on the cross. We must preach the gospel to make an everlasting impact on this nation.
Isaiah 42:12 Let them give glory to the Lord and proclaim His praise in the islands!
The island has got diversified people whose standard of life is comparatively very high. One can see several communities living together. There are Malaysians, Africans, French, English and the Chinese communities. The predominant religion is Hinduism covering 50%. There are 7% of Protestants. The Catholics represent 25% in their population, and 16% are Muslims.
Kindly note down Mauritius in your agenda to pray for. We are confident of touching the nations by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a new challenge for "H&D".
