The powerful meetings in Benin!
Crusade " Parakou 2000"
From the 13th to the 16th of December,2000.
To proclaim the Good News of the resurrected Christ!
Then they saw the advertisement, displayed in and around the city, announcing the meetings held by the H&D association. For us, in Benin, there was more than the discovery of the handicraft or visiting the animal sanctuary! There are millions of souls to be saved from the imminent danger. The hell roars, it is urgent to sound the alarm of the Full Gospel.
To evangelize this country, one has to come up against the dominant traditional religion, that is to say, animism. It is also important to note that 25% of the population is Christian (Catholics, Protestant and evangelical disconcerted). 1,5% of the population are Moslem.
Our mission consisted in going one's way to the septentrion, in the district of Borgou in order to reach the main city, Parakou. The prefecture counts about 700 000 inhabitants, Parakou 200 000. This city knows a demographic explosion. Parakou, with its periphery is the second largest city of the country. What constituted the challenge of this city? It is greatly Islamized.
To reach our goal, we set ourselves several targets:
-To unite the different evangelical denomination churches.
-To gather the crowd on a strategic site.
-To saturate the population with the advertisement.
-To meet the local authorities.
Of course, the major objective remains the one to proclaim the complete gospel accompanied by signs, wonders and miracles. We can give thanks to God for the realization of these objectives.
10 denominations, members of the " Federation of Churches and the Evangelical Missions of Benin " joined their hands with us to shake the city of Parakou. The crusade site was earlier used by the evangelist Reinard Bonnke at the time of his way to Parakou some years before. The advertisements in the streets, on the radio and in the national television helped a lot to inform about the crusade in a detailed way. We could also meet the prefect, a Moslem churchgoer, the persons responsible of the police, the King of Parakou and the chief of the Peulh community. We have particularly thanked the prefect for the authorizations that have been granted to us, and we could share with him the gospel and prayed for him. Bibles have been offered and prayers have been raised in their favor by the evangelist.
Every evening, a huge crowd was present in the stadium, very attentive to the message of salvation. The harvest was abundant when the call was given for salvation. The nets of " the miraculous fishing of evangelism " cracked. Thousand of decision cards were filled and the follow-up was immediate. Hallelujah!
Right from the first evening, miracles happened one after the other. Several had the sight restored, a deaf woman could hear, pains left bodies, some lame walked …the jubilation was total on the stage and in the crowd.
We thank the pastor Pascal Sambiéni, President of Assemblies of God of Benin, as well as the local committee of crusade for their contribution in the work of co-ordination that was a great success.
The " Federation of Churches and Missions of Benin " already solicit H&D for other crusade in their country.

The campaign was in Parakou (400 Km of the fundamental Cotonou), the big center of Islam. The Lord confirmed the preaching by signs and wonders. The mass, Beninese moved forward to receive Jesus as God's Son.
