The unprecedented Evangelistic crusade at Gujranwala, in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan!
THE ACCOMPLISHED MISSION!

Dear intercessory Partners, Greetings in the marvellous name of Jesus!

We reached Charles de Gaulle airport on Monday 30th April. Our hearts were filled with mixed feelings because in few days time the souls are going to flood in to the crusade ground everyday evening at Gujranwala.

Before giving you the detail crusade report, let me remind you of few things: It was in March 2000 I first visited Pakistan, Faisalabad .We held an open-air crusade in this city. The government authorities granted permission for the meetings and it was a great blessing to the multitudes. Pakistan is an Islamic Republic. It is situated in the 10/40 windows, in this particular part of our world, the religious restrictions are very severe.. 97% of the least evangelised countries are located in this 10 /40 window region. Moreover in this part of our world 82% people are the poor of the poorest! In these region 2,7 billion men and women either practise Hinduism, Buddhism or Islam. But in Pakistan, the harvest is ripe and ready. Should we leave it to be trambled? Not at all, The Spirit of God keeps reminding us His command: " Go and evangelize! "

This year the mass evangelistic crusade was scheduled from 23 to 29 April at Gujranwala, north of Lahore. Several churches joined together in this evangelistic effort. Apart from this open-air crusade we were able to conduct ministers seminar for three days. It was an extraordinary opportunity for us. 300 ministers of God gathered with a passionate heart to hear the word of God and to be refilled with the Holy Spirit of God. The Seminar topic was: How to become an effective harvester in a hostile world? ".
After each message, one of the ministers led the pastors in to a time of Spiritual Warfare. Many Bible college students attended from Lahore. What a surprise to see this young ministers maturity that have committed their lives to the Master! Their passionate heart was kindled to evangelise their country for the Lord. Their hearts longing was so evident. Their expectation to their country was so high. They requested me to thank each one of you on their behalf. Especially those who took care of their stay, food, and transportation.
Pastor Cornelius said: " Never in the history of Christianity in Gujranwala, such a blessing was brought forth! ". As a result of this, pastors from different denominations like Methodists, Anglicans, Presbyterians, Baptists and Pentecostals were united to pray for their nation to come under the Lordship of Jesus. There was repentance and willingness to bring their lives under the authority of the Holy Scriptures. Many among them were firmly decided to go where there was opposition. Hallelujah! There was time to examine their lives as well as to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Many were filled and renewed by the Spirit. The crusade was also of great success.

On the last day crusade around 8000 people gathered in the crusade ground. The crowd were so attentive when they heard the message The Son of God and responded positively during the altar call. The confessed the sinners prayer publicly and loudly.
The second call was for people to receive divine healing. The crowd repeated the prayer with faith. We have seen how the Spirit of God set the demon possessed free and the deaf ears being opened. A dumb child could speak by the mighty power of God! Several tumours disappeared after the prayer. A lady who was sick for six years was able to get up and walk on the stage. Her husband was in tears! The multitudes applauded as they saw the mighty works of the Spirit of God.

We thank God for the prayers and the financial support of several Christians from various denominations to this crusade. It is a great source of encouragement for us. Big thanks for your vision in this great task. We want to let you know that you played a vital role in the evangelistic work of this country. Next year we are again planning to intensify our effort in this country. We will hold a crusade in Lahore. We will also conduct a pastors' seminar aiming 1000 ministers.
