" Uruguay 2000, From the Minimum to the Maximum,
from the skepticism to Christ's miraculous power! "
Hope and Deliverance Campaign From the 02nd to 19th of November 2000
Uruguay is considered by the missionary organizations as " The less evangelized country of Latin America". It is reputed for its strong resistance to the gospel. However this country is in the objective of the association " Hope and Deliverance " and of its South American committee of international evangelism. The challenge consists in making Uruguay the country the most evangelized of Latin America while holding campaigns, but also in stimulating all the different denomination leaders in the setting of seminaries on the offensive evangelism, the spiritual fight, the ministry of deliverance, the false demonology and the growth of the church.
The country counts 3 millions of inhabitants. Practices of the macumba (cult vowed to demons) are strongly spread and cases of possession are numerous.
Thanks to these last campaigns, the team of evangelism could reached two new regions, the Rio Negro and Riviera. The cities of Young and Fraybentos belong to the region of the Rio Negro, the city of Riviera belongs to the region called of the same name.
Reports of these campaigns are positive. The Lord confirmed every time the evangelist's preaching freeing with power the possessed. Numerous recoveries of illnesses, infirmities and paralyses have been recorded. It is in Riviera, a city of 110 000 inhabitants that was held the first campaign, just on the border between Brazil and Uruguay. The platform was raised in the street marking the border between the two countries. The left side of the platform was Brazilian, the right side Uruguayan! The impact took place in the town center. The Lord didn't linger to switch on the light in the darkness accomplishing some extraordinary works. A man could not work anymore because of an infirmity concerning the fingers of his hands. They were completely folded. At the time of the calling for divine healing he felt a power that touch his body. He was healed! He immediately came on the platform to give his testimony. Before, he was enable to hold or to grasb anything. He suddenly took one of the flower pots that was on the platform and tightened it with such a strength that the pot of flower broke itself. This miracle was like an electroshock for the faith that freed hitself more and more. A young man come for the first time, suffering an infirmity situated at the level of its back, a powerful fire touched its body at the time of the calling for salvation. His back straightened itself suddenly. These signs of God confirming the gospel were a big help to deliver the population of skepticism. This mission was a big blessing for the participating churches as well as for these new souls that could benefit of the full gospel followed by miracles.
" HD Latin America " plans with the pastoral committee of churches of the different denominations of the city again a more intensive campaign in November 2001.
The city of Young, populated of 17 000 inhabitants, was shaken by Many Healings: the limping threw their ducks and walked, healings of different kinds were noted. Two spectacular Healings were the detonator of this second campaign. A deaf child was healed and could repeat without problem words that the coordinator ordered him to repeat. A very known woman of the city suffered of a paralysis of legs that forced her to move with two clutches. One evening meeting, she throw her clutches and walked. Every evenings of the campaign, each could see her and could note the authenticity of the healing. The evidence was living, visible of all. It only remained to preach and to pull out the net of the miraculous fishing. All along the week, in all the city and in the consulting rooms they only spoke of that. The crowd increased before the powerful impact of these miracles. A woman, professor in a school was healed of his infirm leg at home, whereas she held on to the window and listened to the gospel that was proclaimed to several hundred of meters farther, in the stadium of soccer. The following day, she told the testimony of this experience in the school where she works and explained how she had experimented the divine Healing. From her home, she repeated the prayer of faith pronounced by the brother alexandre. After the prayer she noted the miracle.
The last campaign was held in the city of Fraybentos counting about 25 000 inhabitants. A known city for its indifference to the gospel. Meetings were as in public and in open air. They took place on the Artiga " square ", that is the central square. Artiga, agnostic, was one of conqueror that marked the country, his ideas. The evangelist's platform was placed rightly to the foot of an ancien stone column , high of about ten meters on the top of which is fixed the conqueror's statue. What a contrast every evening between the inert statue to the top of the column and the movement of the Holy spirit to the bottom of the column. The Lord healed, freed and saved under the amazed eyes of the population. A deaf woman was healed, an another one suffering an illness of skin covering all her body was purified. A man was healed of an infirmity to the backbone. He could normally bend down after the prayer. A bent woman straightened herself. Many other healing occured for the greatest joy of the city. Jesus' name was glorified by all! Supernatural manifestations inclined the heart of the Uruguayan people for a bigger receptiveness to the gospel of salvation.
In the cities of Young and Fraybentos, the evangelist could give interviews and could brought the Good News to the television and on the radio giving so the maximum of amplitude to this Uruguayan campaign.
A very important event came to mark this last campaign. An invitation was addressed by the prefect of the region, Mr Carminatti, to Franck ALEXANDRE. Mr Carminatti, ex-minister of transports, candidate to the station of prime minister of the country, personal friend of Mr Sanguinéti, ex-president of the republic of Uruguay, wished to receive the evangelist. This one was received to the title of famous evangelist of the Rio Négro. The interview was very friendly, but also with a spiritual dimension. Indeed, Franck ALEXANDRE could converse with the prefect on the necessity to encourage the action of evangelical church evangelism in Latin America sinking deep more and more in an economic crisis without precedent. The prefect asked the prayer of the preacher. A Bible was him offered that touched deeply his heart. The evangelist thanked Mr Carminatti for the different authorizations granted to the pastoral committee for the organization of the campaign. HD is delighted for the opportunities that the Lord gave to the evangelist to meet since some months with high authorities. We remember of the interview with the minister of the health of the Sri-Lanka that took place in April 2000. We note that these interviews attract the favor of these authorities on the local churches.
But the biggest satisfaction of the HD team resides in the big number of decisions for Christ who has been recorded on the different continents.

We would be honored to benefit of your support for our next international missions. The year 2001 looks very full! Let's rejoice us, the Crop is mature in good number of country. In December, Franck Alexandre will go in Benin for a big campaign in the city of Parakou. In January he will go in Mauritius in order to pursue the work of coordination started with our co-Indian evangelist Sam Maloney. A national campaign is projected to the Mauritius in June. HD also plans to return in Latin America. In February Three campaigns are foreseen in Peru. In July, campaigns will take place in Ecuador and in November in Uruguay and to Brazil. We want to take up the challenge of a big campaign to Colombo, capital of the Sri-Lanka, in April. In March five missions should take place in Egypt on a private lands. Each month a mission will be held also in France in the setting of a local church.
Let the Master of harvest grants us all his Grace in order to accomplish his will for the Glory of his Name and the growth of God's Kingdom.
